Services
Advanced Life Support • ALS
Brewster Ambulance Service ALS vehicles are staffed at the advanced life support level. Our ALS ambulances are operated by highly skilled and trained staff and carry the necessary medical equipment required to stabilize, treat and transport patients to a hospital emergency department, cath lab, trauma center or for an interfacility transfer.

Our Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances are staffed with two (2) paramedics who meet or exceed the training and certification requirements set forth by the States we service. During critically ill or vent-dependent patients transports, Brewster staffs ALS vehicles with an EMT as well, so both paramedics are able to focus on the patient.
Basic Life Support • BLS
Brewster Ambulance Service’s Basic Life Support (BLS) is for patients who require medical transportation and continuous medical supervision/monitoring. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), who are trained to make treatment decisions, staff every Brewster BLS ambulance.

Each ambulance carries Basic Life Support (BLS) medical supplies, including glucometers, albuterol, defibrillators, aspirin, EpiPens, pulse oximetry, intranasal naloxone administration, splints, bandages, oxygen tanks and masks, and spinal immobilization equipment.
Wheelchair Transportation
Wheelchair transport is specially designed to provide transportation for patients confined to a wheelchair or requiring a wheelchair for transport. We can transport up to two (2) wheelchairs at any one time with seats for family members or staff to accompany a patient. Our wheelchair vehicles comply with American Disability Act (ADA) standards and are operated by CPR-trained professionals.

Senior Care Facilities.
Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) which include independent living facilities, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities and Alzheimer’s and dementia care facilities often require 24/7 medical transportation service whether it’s taking a patient to a rehabilitation facility, dialysis appointment or responding to a life-threatening emergency.

Medical Care Facilities.
Medical facilities including hospitals and medical clinics, dialysis centers, acute care centers, specialized treatment centers for radiation and chemotherapy or outpatient services, rehabilitation centers and long-term care facilities require an EMS service that knows the ins and outs of patient care during transport. We also have medical data capture technology that is vital to consistent quality patient care many hospitals are striving to achieve to reduce or eliminate readmissions.
