Brewster Ambulance Service’s communication center operates 24-hours per day, 7-days per week. We have zero call abandonments. We believe in one-call service. In the unlikely event we are unable to fulfill a transportation request, Brewster offers seamless communication in getting the transport completed. If we cannot provide transport within the approved time, we will dispatch a pre-approved transportation provider.
When calling for non-emergency transportation, the dispatch operator requires the following information from incoming calls: caller’s name, date transportation needed, pickup time, patient name (last, first), date of birth, facility and unit of patient, destination, doctor or clinic, level of service required (Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, wheelchair, bariatric stretcher or chair car).
